A 14-year girl was allegedly gang-raped twice in a span of 24 hours on Tuesday in Chhindwada district of Madhya Pradesh.
The police have arrested all the five accused who are identified as Mohit Bhardwaj, Rahul Bhonde, Bunty Bhalavi, Amit Vishwakarma and Ankit Raghuvanshi. The police have also detained the motorcycle that was used by accused to apprehend the victim. The police had formed a special investigation team to search for the accused.
A senior police official while speaking to News World India said, “Mohit Bhardwaj called the girl to meet her. He further persuaded her to go with him on a motorbike and took her to Rahul Bhonde’s house where the duo raped her.
The officer further said that another accused Bunty Bhallavi who arrived at Bhonde’s house and took the girl to his house. Bhallavi along with Ankit Raghuvanshi and Amit Vishwakarma gang-raped the victim again.
The accused have been charged under section376 (D) (gang-rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 363 (kidnapping), 342 (wrongful confinement) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and also under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
